Meet the Author
With a background in mental health and local government, Terri Eynon has written a monthly column for the Community Voice magazine and its predecessor the Coalville Eye for over ten years.
She obtained a Masters in Literary Linguistics (Distinction) from Nottingham University in 2020 followed by introductory training in copyediting and proofreading with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).
Terri Eynon has had poems published in small magazines including Pennine Platform, Obsessed with Pipework, Poetry Nottingham International and Poetry Monthly as well as in locally published anthologies.
A member of the Coalville Writers and the Poetry Society’s Derby Stanza Group, she works to promote poetry and heritage-related creative writing in partnership with community organisations including Spiral Projects, Snibston Heritage Trust, Bright Hope hospice, Coalville Heritage Society and Coalville CAN.
A Reader Leader with Leicestershire Shared Reading (LSR) for over nine years, Terri Eynon supports wellbeing groups in Leicestershire Libraries to read and discuss short stories and poems together.
Terri is currently working with Snibston Heritage Trust on their visitor and educational programmes bringing to life characters from the coalmines of the 1830s to the 1980s.
